MyWhiteboards.com offers two new, easy and exciting alternatives for resurfacing existing whiteboards or worn chalkboards that work really well.
Retro-Fit Panels: These are fully framed magnetic skins on a 1/4" hardboard sub-strait called a Retro-Fit boards. Made of a white, porcelain steel, magnetic receptive 50 year whiteboards that are custom made to fit over your existing boards utilizing your existing frames and eliminating the need of removing old boards. This is a big plus especially in older buildings where you could run the risk of asbestos behind existing boards.
The Retro-Fit panels have a small satin anodized 1/2" aluminum trim around all four sides and the dry erase panels are 1/4" in overall thickness. The Retro-Fit whiteboards are mounted directly over your existing boards using the self-tapping screws and factory pre-drilled holes in the panel. We pre-drill the holes for you and provide the hardware necessary for installation.
Peel-N-Stick Panels: The second option is a peel-n-stick, magnetic receptive porcelain steel skin that is installed using the peel and stick adhesive on the backs of each panel. Don't be fooled by cheap imitations. This adhesive is extremely strong. In fact if you installed it directly onto a dry wall you better plan on staying there because you can't get it off.
In this system you measure the inside dimensions of your existing boards from right to left and top to bottom. Then we custom cut the peel-n-stick dry erase or chalk board panels to fit exactly over your existing boards again alleviating any need for removing existing boards.
Both systems offer their own unique qualities and benefits depending upon your needs and abilities.
In either case clean the dry erase boards thoroughly before using with a solution of 50/50 water and alcohol and a soft cloth, then rinse the whiteboards with plain water and dry with a soft towel.
Important with either method - When moving or positioning skins they must always be supported do not allow them to flex or kink.
You've heard the expression that "size matters". Well in both of these choices it really matters. Both the Retro-Fit board dry erase panels and the peel and stick chalkboard and dry erase skins are custom cut to your specific measurements that you will provide to us and they are not returnable due to wrong measurements so please double check your sizes for accuracy.
If your order comes to you by truck you have to open and inspect your order regardless of what the outside of the carton may look like. Large objects like these can be damaged during transit and it is your responsibility to inspect your shipment on arrival. We will replace any damaged product free of charge if it is signed for as damaged upon arrival.
*If your order must ship by truck we have a shipping fee of $100.00 within the continental U.S. to your loading docks or curb side. If your board order is over $850 then you will only be charged a flat fee of $45. There is a service charge of $35.00 for "Call Ahead" service. Custom orders and graphics orders are not included in our free shipping program.
